Download the free printable here. For best results, it is recommended to print on cardstock paper. Remember to uncheck “fit to page” when printing so that sizing is accurate.

First, let’s add fun patterns to the blank bow tie like polka dots or stripes. Then, fill in the blanks on the card insert using Smencils or Colored Smencils. Create a background using Gel Crayons for the front of the card.

When finished, cut along the dotted lines and fold the card in half.

Cut the foldable strip and fold along the solid line. Glue the end piece to create a square shape. Once that’s done, glue it to the front of the card. Wait a few seconds for the glue to dry and glue the bow tie on top. This will give it a pop-up effect.

Use colored construction paper or scrapbook paper to add some extra flair. Measure and cut it to 5″ x 3.5″ and glue it to the inside of the card. Then place the card insert on top. This will give it a nice background. For a sentimental touch, add a photo or two to the top of the inside.

That’s it! Easy peasy and FUN too.
